This year, Bangkok Community Radio takes over Wonderfruit with an exciting lineup featuring local DJ talents Issasha, Yoongying, and Giant Siam. Each brings a unique energy to the decks, ready to showcase their signature sounds at the Forbidden Fruit stage.
A creative force across multiple mediums, Issasha is a graphic designer, fashion designer, illustrator, and DJ. This year, she’s teaming up with Yoongying for an electrifying back-to-back set. Known for her versatility, Issasha is stepping away from her usual UK-inspired or techno sounds to explore housey and bouncy grooves. “At Wonderfruit, I’m looking forward to hearing new sounds and discovering artists I don’t usually encounter in Bangkok,” she says.
As one of Bangkok’s rising stars in house and techno, Yoongying is also pushing boundaries at this year’s festival. Playing b2b with Issasha, she promises a vibe tailored for the occasion, diving into fresh house tracks and deep cuts from labels like House Wax. “This year, I’m all about expanding my horizons and finding inspiration from the diversity of music at Wonderfruit,” she shares.
Since 2014, Giant Siam (aka Benz) has been spinning a dynamic blend of old-school house, Chicago house, disco, and Asian disco. For his set at Wonderfruit, he’s diving into timeless grooves, blending nostalgic vibes with fresh energy. “I’m always looking for new influences to evolve my style, and Wonderfruit is the perfect place to soak in that inspiration,” he says.
