As part of our regular showcase of Electronic Music in Thailand this month we pick three tracks showcase the vibrant diversity and rising talent of Asia’s underground electronic scene. From the deep, echo-laden bass of SRIRAJAH SOUND SYSTEM’s “Tuff Lion,” through LIEM’s sleek, hypnotic minimalism on “Swing Drives,” to Sarayu’s dancefloor-ready remix of Hugoboy’s cosmic “Golden Planet,” each piece highlights a different facet of modern bass-driven music. Together, they map a journey across dub, minimal techno, and melodic grooves—united by strong low-end energy and carefully crafted production.
A heavyweight dub track that showcases the rising power of Thailand’s dub scene. “Tuff Lion” rolls in with a deep, resonant bassline and echo-laden textures that stay true to the genre’s roots. It’s a slow burner with enough groove to get dancefloors swaying. A strong local statement from the long-standing dub collective.
“Swing Drives” is a sleek, synth-led cut from Chiang Mai-based producer Liem. The track leans into minimal grooves with tight, rhythmic drums and pulsating bass. It’s a hypnotic and confident production that signals Liem’s growing presence in the Thai electronic music scene. Subtle but effective, it works well in late-night or deeper dancefloor sets.

The remix brings a steady groove and shimmering textures, balancing drive with a sense of space. Sarayu’s touch gives the track warmth and momentum, aligning well with the label’s genre-blending ethos. A strong cross-cultural collaboration grounded in regional and global sounds.
