Gentle Tuesday [Mojo] - 27th May 2023

In the midst of Jakarta’s buzzing club culture, three friends who grew up in the underground scene of this city wanted to create a haven for people to meet likeminded allies, and enjoying their drinks whilst listening to the glorious tunes from the legends like Primal Scream, Andrew Weatherall, LCD Soundsystem, etc. Nothing is for flexing, just a safe place for music lovers to gather, make friends and having fun. The low-key trio who consisted of Baldi Calvianca, Benedict Pardede and Moses Sihombing then created a collective called Gentle Tuesday, taken from Primal Scream’s song with the same title, and started to throw weekly events at various clubs & bars that rapidly gained positive feedbacks. This intimate gathering grew big in years, even through the somber time of the pandemic, and successfully gathered a massive loyal following. In early 2021, they released a remake of Santamonica’s song Sought & Found, and recently they are working on songs from singer Rebecca Theodora and some remixes of songs from Holy City Rollers, Crayola Eyes and more to further stamp their mark in the city’s subculture music scene.
