a4anxiety is a Madrid-based ambient DJ and producer. Their music project provides a glimpse of connection to their intimate emotions through whispered words, textured soundscape, and atmospheric compositions. Waiting Room expresses an interwoven collection of emotional states that surface in the quiet moments before significant changes, evoking a range of feelings from hope to fear, pain to enchantment, and nostalgia to prospection, while capturing the tapestry of introspection as one navigates the complexities of awaiting the unknown.

"Dive into the emotional pool of ""The Waiting Room,"" where a4anxiety takes listeners into an hour of their intimate emotions through emo ambient, trance, and deconstructed breaks. This month, BOFIRAX (he/him, Barcelona) takes over the show and proposes a fluid, elegant, and minimalist electronic sound that immerses us through its synthesizers, voice, and guitar loops.

Following his debut album, Ephemeral, Bofirax has released two EPs (DECADES, 2021, and INVISIBLE, 2024), as well as collaborations with other artists, while his next album is in the making. He has performed at festivals such as BAM, Primavera Sound, and the Pedralbes Festival, and also composed sound pieces for art installations (Sónar+D, CCCB, etc.), soundtracks for short films and commercials (Nike, Desigual, Saye), and theatre.

This ambient mix represents Bofirax’s sound pallette, blending electronic and organic elements. Starting with a jam by myself and my synth using a generative algorithm, you’ll find a curated selection that ranges from synthesized sounds to water percussion or even recordings inside Taj Mahal. Puerto Rican artist Cerrot, currently based in Barcelona, has been making waves with a string of compelling releases in recent years. His debut album, *Iteritax*, on Nina Kraviz's esteemed label Trip Recordings , marked a pivotal moment in his career, leading to his latest work, *Butterfly Effect*. Cerrot’s sound is rooted in experimental techno, infused with minimalist elements and deeply influenced by dub techno and early 2000’s trance. His compositions are known for their ethereal atmospheres, rich pads, and immersive drones, all anchored by relentless, driving percussion.

This mix contains a few unreleased music of mine plus some of my favourite experimental/ambient tracks from some of my favourite artists like Oneohtrix Point Never, Clark and Gigi Masin. It makes me want to get on a plane and sit on the window seat and listen to this mix while watching the endless and vast blue skies. Is perfect to listen to it with that friend of yours that you can be sitting in a quiet room without none of you saying a word for 30 minutes and none of you feel uncomfortable.

This 1 hour mix feels like a reset/restart button to my ears and that was the intention behind it. Enjoy :)"

the sensation of tranquility after a big storm has passed and the residual emotions that
